BPUB CEO Elected to Serve as TPPA President-Elect for FY 2026-27
Brownsville Public Utilities Board (BPUB) General Manager and CEO Marilyn D. Gilbert has been elected to serve as president-elect of the Texas Public Power Association (TPPA) Executive Committee for fiscal year 2026-27.
Gilbert currently serves as vice president of the TPPA Executive Committee. As president-elect, she will help lead the statewide association, which represents 72 municipally owned electric utilities and advocates on issues affecting public power while promoting collaboration among utility leaders across Texas.

“I am honored to serve as president-elect of the Texas Public Power Association,” Gilbert said. “This opportunity allows us as a utility to contribute to important discussions affecting public power in Texas while bringing valuable ideas and industry perspectives back to benefit our customers and community.”

Gilbert’s election provides the utility with an opportunity to further strengthen relationships with industry leaders, share operational expertise and stay engaged on issues affecting municipally owned electric utilities across Texas.
