Meter Tampering is Dangerous & Illegal
Tampering with an electric meter can create a fire or can result in injury or death from electrocution. In addition, tampering with a water meter can create a health hazard.
Altering your meters' functions to receive electricity or water and tapping the utility system without paying for services is also illegal.
These actions can result in:
- Disconnection of services
- Additional fees
- Penalties
- Police report
- Criminal prosecution
