Conservation Superheroes Drawing Contest
The Conservation Superheroes Drawing Contest has now advanced to the community voting stage, starting April 19, 2024. Please note that the 2nd-grade category has only two qualifying finalists. You can cast your vote for the best entry in each grade. You are allowed to cast one vote for each grade category. Don't forget to share this information on your favorite social media platform. Let's celebrate the creativity of these young artists before voting closes on May 10 at 5:00 pm.
Open to students 1-5 grade. Enter for your chance to win an Apple 9th Generation iPad.
Five finalists from each grade will be selected for community vote on this website. The entry with the most votes will be selected as each grade's grand prize winner.
Three Easy Steps to Enter

Download a drawing sheet.

Complete the drawing portion with a message about energy or water conservation.

Submit your completed activity and contest entry form by Friday, April 12, 2024.
A FEW RULES:
- Entries must use a BPUB-provided drawing sheet.
- Entries must incorporate creative and original artwork and ideas.
- Entries must deliver a clear and positive message about a simple way to conserve electricity or water around the home.
- Students enrolled in grades 1-5 within BPUB's service territory or residing in a home serviced by the Brownsville Public Utilities Board (electric, water or wastewater) are invited to participate.
- Computer-based designs, clip art, pictures from magazines, or other print media will not be accepted.
JUDGING:
- Submissions will be reviewed and judged by BPUB staff on their artistry, creativity, originality, and ability to communicate a clear message about conserving energy or water around the home.
- BPUB staff will select five finalists from each grade and put them up for a community vote at brownsville-pub.com/contest.
- The community will have a voting period from April 24 to May 10 at 5 p.m. The entries with the most votes will be selected as grand prize winners from each grade.
- Twenty Community Choice runners-up will receive BPUB-branded products.
Contest entries are accepted from March 18 to April 12, 2024, and are deemed timely if postmarked on Friday, April 12 and received by Tuesday, April 16, 2024. Entries should be sent or dropped off in an envelope so the artwork is not folded or damaged to:
