Addressing Our Customers Concerns

The Brownsville Public Utilities Board is committed to addressing customer concerns. As a result of this commitment, the BPUB established the Public Utilities Board Consumer Advisory Panel (PUBCAP) to provide customers a forum to express community concerns in 1983.

The PUBCAP is committed to:

Providing communications and services to its customers

Identifying and addressing electric, water and wastewater issues affecting BPUB and its customers

Responding to BPUB’s request for advice and consultation on various issues

PUBCAP consists of 11 members. Ten members will be selected by BPUB from recommendations made by PUBCAP members, and one member is a BPUB employee acting as a liaison.

PUBCAP meetings are held once a month, typically the third Wednesday of each month from 5:30 – 7 p.m. at the BPUB Administration Building, unless otherwise specified. The public is welcome to attend monthly PUBCAP meetings.
