Impact Fees
An impact fee is a fee that is imposed on a new or proposed development project to pay for all or a portion of the costs of providing public services to the new development. Impact fees help fund and pay for the construction or needed expansion of offsite capital improvements that are necessary to serve the new development. These fees are implemented to help reduce the economic burden on existing rate payers. Current water and wastewater impact fees are calculated at 74.58% of the total maximum assessable amount.
