BPUB provides commercial customers with energy-efficiency rebates for purchasing and installing qualifying lighting equipment for new facilities, expansions, and significant renovations to existing facilities.
Our program is designed to provide rebates for commercial electric customers who switch to energy-efficient lighting. Upgrading to LED lighting or other high-efficiency lighting options can reduce energy consumption and save money on your electric bill. Not only that, but you'll also be doing your part to help the environment by reducing your carbon footprint.

- The facility must be located in the BPUB electric service area and be a customer of BPUB electric services.
- Incentives for retrofit projects are based on the difference in kW between existing and newly-installed lights and are calculated individually for each project. Base lighting use is calculated by determining the number and type of lights before the change-out.
- Retrofit projects require documentation that details the quantity and type of existing lights, the proposed quantity and type of lights to be installed, kW and kWh savings, estimated cost savings and the proposed cost of the retrofit work.
- The incentive amount is $200 per kW, reduced.
