Compensation & Benefits

Employees receive 15 paid holidays per year, including employee birthdays. Employees also accrue 10 hours of vacation leave and 10 hours of sick leave per month. Additional paid leave includes eligible funeral leave, jury duty and military leave.

BPUB pays 100% of the employee’s monthly premiums for medical and dental insurance, plus a portion of these insurance premiums for dependents. BPUB also pays 100% of long-term disability and life insurance premiums for the employee. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment.

Optional insurance coverage available to employees includes voluntary health and dental insurance coverage for employee dependents, voluntary life insurance for employees and their dependents, short-term disability, vision, critical care, and cancer insurance.

BPUB’s Educational Assistance Program provides 60% reimbursement to employees for eligible undergraduate tuition, books and fees.

The Professional Development Reimbursement Program reimburses full-time employees for the cost of certification and licensure.
