Project SHARE Scholarship Applications Open February 6

BPUB’s annual Project SHARE Scholarship will open on February 6. We are awarding ten $2,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors from households with a BPUB utility account for water, wastewater, or electric service. In 2024, BPUB increased these scholarships from $1,000 to $2,000 to better support students’ educational futures.

To be eligible for the Project SHARE Scholarship, you must have a BPUB account at your primary residence for at least one year before the application deadline. You must be a graduating high school senior and plan to attend an accredited college or university in the United States. All majors are welcome to apply.

To complete your application, you will need to submit several documents through our online portal. You must complete and sign the BPUB Project SHARE Scholarship Application.

You will also need to provide a recent BPUB utility bill from your parent or guardian, an Academic Data Verification form signed by your school counselor, and a typed essay of between 500 and 600 words. Essays that do not meet the word count requirement will not be accepted.

The application period opens Friday, February 6, 2026, and closes Monday, March 9, 2026, at 5:00 PM. Apply entirely online at www.bpubscholarship.com. Incomplete applications or those submitted after the deadline will not be considered.

BPUB is a community-owned utility invested in developing local talent and supporting the next generation of leaders. Once scholarship recipients are selected, we issue checks directly to students to support their educational journey. This scholarship can help cover tuition fees, moving expenses, books, laptops, and other education-related costs.
