BPUB Announces Temporary Lane and Road Closures
The Brownsville Public Utilities Board (BPUB) announces temporary lane and road closures as part of the utility’s ongoing commitment to infrastructure maintenance.
The lane closure will affect the far right, northbound lane near 4702 S. Padre Island Highway on Sunday, June 29, starting at 8 a.m. This closure is necessary as a BPUB crew will make an emergency water repair in the area.
The road closure will affect East Los Ebanos Boulevard, between Honeydale Road and Mirasol Street, on Monday, June 30, starting at 9 a.m. Traffic from Russell Drive and Mirasol Street must access East Los Ebanos Boulevard through alternative streets.
BPUB crews will carry out lane and road closures for infrastructure maintenance.
These closures will be in place until repairs are completed. Motorists are asked to be vigilant for road signs in these areas. All construction dates and times are approximate, and the end date and time may vary due to the nature of weather, soil conditions and job provisions.
BPUB, Texas Department of Transportation and City of Brownsville departments have coordinated on this effort to make it a safe and efficient operation. BPUB apologizes for any inconvenience this closure may cause.
