BPUB Project SHARE Scholarship Applications Now Open

The Brownsville Public Utilities Board (BPUB) is now accepting applications for its annual Project SHARE Scholarship. Ten (10) qualifying students will receive $1,000 scholarships in their pursuit of higher education.

Constellation Renewables Partners, LLC has assisted in funding these scholarships in recent years. As an affiliate of Constellation, the nation’s largest producer of carbon-free energy and a leading supplier of energy products and services, Constellation Renewable Partners operates the Sendero Wind Farm, from which BPUB receives all of the electricity generated. Like BPUB, Constellation is committed to giving back to the communities it serves by supporting students as they move forward in their academic journey.

To qualify for the Project SHARE Scholarship, an applicant must:

  • Be a graduating high school student
  • Live in a household with a minimum of one year of utility service with BPUB at the application deadline date
  • Attend an accredited institution of higher education in the United States

The Project SHARE Scholarship is entirely online. Students may apply for the scholarship at www.bpubscholarship.com.

The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. local time on Monday, March 6, 2023. Once the scholarship recipients are selected, BPUB will send their funds directly to the appropriate financial aid office for disbursement.
