Water & Sewer New Connections

To help expedite the New Connections process, you must submit copies of all the following items:

 INSIDE CITY LIMITS

Owner

  1. Proof of land ownership is required, by bringing in one of the following copies: 
    1. Warranty Deed 
    2. Deed of Trust
  2. Plumbing Permit
  3. Address Application Letter from City Engineering Dept.

(Please obtain letter @ 404 E. Washington, ph. 541-1012)

Contractor (Documents must have company’s name)

  1. Building Permit (long format)
  2. Plumbing Permit
  3. Address Application Letter

OUTSIDE CITY LIMITS

Owner

  1. Proof of land ownership is required, by bringing in one of the following copies: 
    Deed or Contract to Deed
  2. Clearance Letter from Cameron County with the property’s address
    (Please obtain @ 1390 W. Expressway 83, San Benito, TX ph. 956-247-3517)
  3. Address Application Letter (Please obtain letter @ 404 E. Washington, ph. 541-1012)

Contractor (Documents must have company’s name)

  1. Clearance Letter from Cameron County with the property’s address
  2. Address Application Letter (Please obtain letter @ 404 E. Washington, ph. 541-1012)

NOTE:

  • If additional information is required you will be notified.
  • If person requesting service is other than the owner, written approval and copy of identification is needed from owner in addition to the above items.  (When owner is a firm letter needs to be on firm’s letterhead.) 
  • It takes approximately 15 working days for the installation.
