The Brownsville Public Utilities Board (BPUB) proudly serves thousands of customers in the Brownsville area which are mostly comprised of residences and commercial businesses. More specifically, BPUB provides about 46,000 with electric service, about 47,000 with water service, and about 47,000 with sewer service.

The utility is municipally owned and operated by an independent board of directors. Decisions about electric, water or wastewater services are made at the local level which is why quality services and friendly faces make BPUB "Your Hometown Utility."
