Even
during peak demand, the Brownsville Public Utilities Board still
has the capacity for more. BPUB owns three power plants and
distributes
power with more than 1,200 miles of wires and 13 substations.
Since 1907, electricity has been produced in Brownsville and
distributed throughout
the city's neighborhoods. BPUB continues to be one step ahead
of the Brownsville growth and its electric demands. |
