THE BROWNSVILLE PUBLIC UTILITIES BOARD NAME

  • The Brownsville Public Utilities Board (BPUB) logo serves as the company’s signature in the marketplace and provides a visual association with the company’s traditions and services.  It is therefore imperative that it always be used in a consistent and professional manner.
  • If our name is printed (without the logo), it must be a complete name: Brownsville Public Utilities Board and abbreviated as BPUB (not PUB or not reconfigured to the Public Utilities Board of Brownsville).

THE BPUB LOGO

  • The BPUB logo includes three elements: the “symbol” (the dots and wavy lines), as well the typography (the company name), and the base line.  All three elements must be included anytime the logo is used.
  • Manipulation of the company logo in any form or fashion is never permissible. Also combining the identifier elements to create new configurations is unacceptable. (For example use of the “symbol” by itself or omission of the base line are not allowed. Nor is it permissible to use the “symbol” with the company name on the side instead of below.)

  • Identifier colors are PMS 403 (gray) and PMS 280 (blue).  These colors must be matched exactly when using the company logo in color.

  • When using a two-color application, the dots on the “symbol” and the base line are PMS 403 (gray) and the wavy lines on the “symbol” as well as the name of the company should be PMS 280 (blue).

  • Use of the identifier in solid black is acceptable in almost all instances.

  • One color application of the company logo may be permissible, but only at the discretion of and with the permission from the BPUB Communications and Public Relations Department.

  • One color application options are either solid PMS 280 (blue) or white. Use of the identifier in any other single color is not allowed. (For example: red, green, or royal blue.)

  • Always forward a copy of the final draft of the page that will contain the BPUB logo to the BPUB Communications and Public Relations Department for final approval before the work is printed and/or made public or published.

  • For questions or another copy of the BPUB logo, contact the Communications and Public Relations Department at (956) 983-6281.
