has created a world of options to make paying your bill easier.

For immediate payments, BPUB is pleased to announce a new partner, Paymentus Corporation. Paymentus provides multiple online payment options for one-time payments, scheduled payments and recurring payments using a checking account (e-check) or credit/debit cards. These payments are processed immediately at no charge to you. There is, however, a transaction limit of $10,000 for electronic checks and $2,000 for credit/debit cards. Customers are always permitted to pay amounts less than the current balance due, but are responsible for contacting Customer Service to avoid disconnection. By using our phone system or speaking directly to a Customer Service Representative (CSR), customers may request an extension.
Paymentus provides automated one-time phone payments through the BPUB automated phone system. These payments are processed immediately at no charge to you. There is, however, a transaction limit of $10,000 for electronic checks and $2,000 for credit/debit cards. Please dial (956) 983-6121 and follow the Customer Service Menu prompts. This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Direct Pay allows customers to pay their utility bills without the
hassle of waiting in line or writing a check. Direct Pay allows for better budgeting
and one less bill to mail. In addition, you avoid the possibility
of a late fee.

using a method called Electronic Funds Transfer
(EFT or ACH).
though the due date of your bill may fluctuate slightly, your draft
date will remain fixed. This fixed draft date allows you to budget
your finances according to your cash flow. You can choose from several
dates that better suit your financial cycle for the withdrawal to
take place. Once the EFT is effective, there will be a message across
the top of the bill that reads, "Direct Debit Bill. Do Not Pay."
This message will also appear on the remittance slip and on the
back of the bill in the message field. For this option, click the
link below, print the form, fill it out, and fax it to (956) 574-6101.

Customers may use credit cards when paying through our website, automatic phone system, or in person at the BPUB Administration Building. BPUB accepts VISA, Master Card and Discover.
BPUB has 21 payment stations throughout Brownsville. These stations include inside
HEB, Lopez and El Globo food stores to mention a few. A detailed

Late fees that are assessed will be billed on the following month's bill.

Payments are processed by Wells Fargo's processing center in Dallas, so please mail your payments at least two days before the due date to allow for post office delays. Payments are
processed and applied on the day received, not the postmark date.

To better serve you, our customers, our drop box location was moved from the far right drive thru lane to the far left. We also added a walkup drop box to the front of our Administration Building. When using the drop box, we encourage you to always include your bill stub along with your BPUB account number on the check or money order.
Note: Payments dropped off after 3:00 p.m. will be processed the following business day. To avoid disconnection, customers with accounts with payment arrangements/extensions or pending disconnect orders should not use the dropbox on the date listed as the disconnect date.

As an added convenience, you
can use one of five drive-thru lanes which are open Monday through Friday
from 8:00am to 6:00pm. The drive-up is located behind the BPUB Administration Building at 1425 Robinhood Drive in Brownsville, Texas.
BPUB now has a walk up payment kiosk located in the Customer Service lobby at the Administration Building. These kiosks accept cash or credit/debit cards, provide a receipt, and process payments immediately. For fastest processing, please bring your bill stub and account number or your Account Access Card with you when using the kiosks. BPUB issues Account Access Cards in the Customer Service Department during normal business hours: Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
